The Data Dolphin provides the accuracy of a laboratory instrument in the harsh conditions of the field environment. The ultra-high resolution 24 bit analog to digital section provides 4 differential bipolar inputs with resolution down to 90 nanovolts (.00000009 volts). This allows most sensors to be directly connected without any signal conditioning. Analog and digital filtering for these 8 inputs is provided. There are an additional four inputs that can be user selected as pulse, status or analog inputs.
Data is stored in a non-volatile flash memory module that gives long term storage without the fear of losing your data because of dead batteries. The data is stored in a database structure, allowing you to add or delete inputs "on the fly" without having to restart the datalogger. Even the sample rate can be changed without restarting.
Designed for field use it’s operating temperature range goes from – 40C(-55C special order) to over 75 C and all inputs have static protection and is also sealed inside a NEMA IP-68 water proof case.
An external 12 volt source such as a rechargeable battery pack and/or alkaline battery pack can be connected. The Data Dolphin’s extremely low operating current gives the datalogger an expected battery life of approximately 1 years (5 min sample rate).
Data collection, programming and viewing collected data is a breeze with the Data Dolphin Software. It allows you to view the current status, setup the logger, and generate graphs. You can An export function is included to allow output to other programs such as Microsoft Excel. |
